Good Cop, Bad Cop NEW MATERIAL!

Good Cop, Bad Cop is a solo side project from Joe Cornell Jnr of Milburn. The first album, which is self titled came out back in 2019 and I bloody loved it. Matt Helders of the Arctic Monkeys produced and I believe played on some tracks. It's hard to put a tag on the genre but I'd say there's a kind of electro-synth rock vibe to the record and and it's somewhat of a hidden gem. Five years later and we're on the verge of the "tricky second album" release. Welcome to the Marble Zone is due out April 5th and we've already been treated to two tracks ahead of the records release. Running Away With The Circus my favourite of the two which shows a shift in tempo to his previous stuff, with what sounds like electric drums and almost a RnB opening there's lots going on here which makes me very excited for the album and also the live shows. I've picked up a couple of tickets for the London gig. I believe the album has been produced by Goldteeth aka Andy Nicholson who has released some amazing stuff over the last couple of years and I've previously blogged about so check him out. It's great to see talented musicians like Joe putting stuff out that is still interesting, fun and somewhat experimental and I very much look forward to seeing him perform live in April..
