Old Yellow Bricks

 Seventeen years ago I was in my final year of school when a friend asked me if I'd heard "that song about a dance floor". Bored at home later, probably while on MSN (remember that?) I downloaded the Arctic Monkeys first single "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor" from Limewire (another remember that?) And for the next two minutes and fifty three seconds I was blown away by what I heard & even though they're a much changed band these days I'm still blown away by each and every release.  10) JACKASS 4.5 Yes Jackass isn't winning any awards but watching movies should be about entertainment and when deciding on my list this was one of the first movies which came to mind as it was the most I laughed all year in the cinema. All of the old gang are back together (bar Bam) plus there's some new blood who throw themseleves into the crazy stunts and mayhem seamlessly. After all these years you'd think the pranks the guys pull would be tiresome but this movie is just such a fun ride from start to finish. 9) SMILE This movie is probably the most well marketed movie of the year. They put actors in sporting event crowds across the USA in character with that smile freaking everyone out not knowing what the hell was going on. Gone are the indie band we once knew and if I'm being honest theis feels so much like a Serge solo record  I don't know why it isn't.
