What's New
Writing a review can take a while so I thought I'd write a quick blog every few weeks to keep whoever the hell reads this updated on what I'm listening to, reading etc. I often get in the habbit of playing the same records over and over so for me it's quite refreshing having stuff suggested to me and hopefully that's what this will do for the readers. Feedback always welcome. AB
ALBUM: DMA'S - THE GLOW
This is a cracking listen. I'm not going to go too indepth on this as i'd like to review at some point but these are one of the hottest bands out at the moment. I originally found them after hearing their fantastic cover of Cher - Believe on YouTube and they've gone from strength to strength since then.
PODCAST: FAKE DOCTORS REAL FRIENDS
As a massive fan of the tv show Scrubs when I heard Zach Braff and Donald Faison (JD & Turk) were doing a kinda re-watch catch up podcast of the show I was all ears. 34 episodes later and I'm still listening. They've had a load of old cast memebers on reminiscing about the old days and there's some genuine LOL moments with these two guys as they're clearly good friends. Perfect for the morning commute or a workout.
BOOK: SCAR TISSUE
Scar Tissue is the autobiography of Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis. I'd say this is the third or fourth time I've read this but it's one of those where you keeping picking up on new things each time. I'm a fan of the band but I think even if you weren't this would be a utterly compelling read of a guy who has been to both the darkest depths of LA to the highest highs off rock stardom.
TV/FILM: MARVEL/STAR WARS
For the pleasure of £5.99 a month I have Disney + which has the entire collection of the Marvel & Star Wars series. I'm ploughing through these at the moment chronologically (any other way would be insane) and I have to say both series are impressive. I'm not a complete newbie to either series but watching them in order definatly does set the right tone and makes for a better watch. If anyone wants the correct order give me a shout.
